Frequently Asked Questions

The Vibe

What exactly is a creative portrait?

A creative portrait is an invitation to play. Unlike traditional photos, these are sessions where we build a world together.

Whether you are playing a character, documenting your career in action, or manifesting a specific "era" for yourself we encourage the use of props and costumes that you provide to capture your frequency.

Do you pose me?

We aren't interested in stiff backs, and forced smiles. We practice intuitive direction. We may give you a prompt or a movement to start, but we are looking for the in-between moments - the raw, the unscripted, and the honest.

We enjoy natural and candid moments the best.

Which Creative Portrait Session is right for me?

Send us an email! Let us talk, Let us collab. What is your vision and ideas? What do you want to capture?

We will work with you to ensure we pick, or customize a session that fits your needs.

Ultimately look through our portrait gallery for inspiration.

Does the Indigo Style fit Me?

We are very non-traditional. The Indigo Child is for the person who has outgrown the need for outside approval. It's a aesthetic that embraces the ' messy ',the moody, and the unconventional.

If you aren't afraid of how others perceive you and want a gallery that feels honest, You've found the right home.

Will you retouch my photos or change how I look?

My editing process is about the vibe of the image, not the correction of the person.

You don't need to be corrected, you just need to be captured. My goal is expression, not deception. I retouch for mood, lighting and tone.

I do not erase character lines, or blur your skin with a digital mask. I focus on enhancing the atmosphere and pulling out the colors that reflect your energy.

We do, remove temporary distractions - like a stray hair, or a blemish. We want to ensure the focus remains on the spirit of the image.

If you are looking for a photographer to "Perfect you" I'm likely not the right fit.

If you want to see your raw power, You're home.

There is a 25% non-refundable deposit required to book.

The deposit is a commitment to the session taking place.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

While your retainer is non-refundable, we do allow for rescheduling if handled within the time frame outlined in the master contract. Rescheduling is allowed up to 3 days before your scheduled session.

If Client provides less than the "Minimum Notice" of 3 days or rescheduled for a second time, a rescheduling fee of $50 to cover the cost of shifting the Photographers calendar.

What happens if I have an emergency and need to reschedule?

In the event you experience a documented family emergency or sudden illness, we may at our sole discretion, waive the rescheduling fee if it applies, and allow the deposit to be applied to a new date, provided the new session occurs within 6 months of the original date.

Why cant I get a refund if I cancel with less than 36 hours notice?

Think of your session like a front-row concert ticket. If you cant make it to the show last minute, the venue doesn't give you a refund because your seat is empty. The performers were there (Photographer), the lights were on, and the ticket was held specifically for you.

My session dates are the same. I have prepared the 'stage' for your story and that time cannot be resold once the show is about to start.
